Ayesha Curry is a culinary celebrity married to NBA superstar Stephen Curry, widely known in the Bay Area for her lifestyle personality, her popular cooking shows on Food Network, and her ongoing tailgate barbecue collaborations with friend and chef, Michael Mina.
Curry’s lifestyle blog and YouTube channel, Little Lights of Mine, features all things that bring joy and happiness in to her life, from her family to her profound love for food. Her entrepreneurial spirit has garnered projects, including her own cooking shows: Cookin’ with the Curry’s and Ayesha’s Home Kitchen; an apron line in collaboration with LUNDY WAY; her olive oil brand of which a portion of proceeds are donated to end child hunger in the U.S.; and her first cookbook, The Seasoned Life, a collection of her favorite recipes as well as a New York Times bestseller.
As a result of her cookbook launch in 2016, Michael Mina partnered with Curry in his rotating restaurant concept – The MINA Test Kitchen – with a project the duo dubbed International Smoke. International Smoke features a menu of grilled and smoked meat recipes inspired by Curry’s multinational roots (Chinese, Jamaican, African-American, and Polish.)
Curry’s original International Smoke collaboration led to a permanent concept located in Mina’s second Hawai‘i eatery, THE STREET, A Michael Mina Social House. A believer in the mantra, “a great barbecue brings people together,” International Smoke translates the best barbecue secrets from distant places into a lighter take on American favorites, with an exotic indulgence fit for all palates.
